Do you perform religious ceremonies?

Honestly, no, and intentionally so. AltarEgo Ceremonies was built specifically for couples who want something outside of traditional religious ceremony. If you're looking for prayers, scripture, or a faith-based service, I'm probably not your person. But if you want something spiritual, meaningful, and completely your own? You're in exactly the right place.
Completely and without reservation. Every couple is welcome here…full stop. Your love doesn't need to be explained or justified to anyone, least of all your officiant.

Are you LGBTQ+ affirming?
How far in advance should I book?

As soon as you can. Popular dates, especially spring and fall weekends book fast. I'd recommend reaching out at least 3 to 6 months before your date. That said, if your date is coming up quickly, reach out anyway. I'll always let you know what I can make happen.
Do you write the ceremony or do we?

Both ,and however you want it to go. I'll gather your story, your details, and your vibe, then write a custom ceremony script from scratch. You'll have the chance to review, adjust, and make it feel exactly right. It's collaborative, never cookie-cutter.
Absolutely, and I love when couples do. If you want help finding the words, the Vow Writing Consultation was made for exactly that. If you've already got something, I'll help you shape it. If you want to keep it a surprise from each other, we can work around that too.

That's what I'm here for. Most couples come to me knowing what they don't want, not a template, not a church script, not something stiff and formal. We'll start there and build something from the ground up. You'd be surprised how quickly a ceremony takes shape once someone is actually listening to you.
What does the planning process look like?

It starts with a conversation…about you, your partner, your story, and your vision. From there I write your ceremony, share it with you for feedback, and refine it until it feels right. By the time your wedding day arrives, you'll know exactly what to expect. No surprises unless you want them.
Do you travel outside of MD, DC and VA?

For the right couple, yes. Reach out and tell me where you're headed , travel beyond 40 miles is quoted individually based on location.
What's your payment and booking process?

A non-refundable retainer holds your date. $50 for Just Make It Legal or Elopement packages, $100 for Small & Intimate, and $150 for Full Wedding. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding. If you're booking within 30 days of your date, full payment is due at signing. I accept Venmo, Zelle, CashApp, ApplePay, and cash.
