Meet your wedding officiant.
DMV native. Here for the love stories that don't fit in a pew.
As I approached my tenth wedding anniversary, something clicked. Marriage is one of the most meaningful journeys I've ever been on…and I wanted to help other people step into that moment on their own terms.
My husband is a wedding caterer, which means I've spent years watching love stories unfold from the sidelines. The nervous glances. The happy tears. The moments where a room full of people holds their breath together. All of that made me want to stop watching and start showing up.
But not for every kind of wedding. For a specific kind.
The ones that don't fit neatly into a church bulletin. The couples who've spent their whole lives feeling like they had to shrink themselves to belong somewhere…and are done with that. The people who are queer, interfaith, interracial, non-religious, unconventional, or simply done explaining their love to anyone.
AltarEgo Ceremonies exists for them.
I believe love doesn't require an explanation. It just requires space, and someone willing to hold it without judgment. That's what I'm here to do.
No religious scripts. No traditional expectations you didn't ask for. Just a ceremony built entirely around who you are and who you love.
"Love doesn't require an explanation. It just requires space."

What I Believe
Love doesn't require an explanation.
Every couple deserves a ceremony that feels like home.
Inclusivity isn't a checkbox. It's the whole damn point.
You should never have to shrink yourself to get married.
The best ceremonies make you feel seen, celebrated, and a little emotional, in the best way.
Your wedding is about you and your partner…full stop. Not your families, not your guests, not tradition for tradition's sake.
If you've ever felt like you didn't quite fit, you fit here.
Let's talk about your day, your story, and exactly what you want to say.
